No artist loves being categorized. But humans love organization and categorizing things. For sake of clarity we will attempt to describe the sound of this latest release. Lofi DEEZY very much represents Nathan's love for hip-hop, grooves that make you move. "I love hiphop on the bottom and jazz on top, best of both worlds!" But this isn't simply hiphop and jazz. Nathan is influenced by the full spectrum of black music. Each track was produced by Nathan, drums and all. We see his technical prowess on the sax as well as in a D.A.W (digital audio work station). Lofi DEEZY is a short beat tape featuring Nathan's produced beats and jazz influenced sax, although he is quoted as saying "When I play my horn i'm thinking like a rapper, that type of delivery and phrase, and jazz sentiments that come out are without thought, it just happens, but i'm very much channeling the rap Gods so to speak."

It's not unusual for an artist to say "nobody else is doing this!" One can not fully argue that Nathan would be wrong if he said this. This duo (featuring Zaire Darden on drums, and of course Nathan on sax) is of Brilliant convenience. Booking a duo is very little hassle, travel plans are much easier than 6 guys, but is the sound and energy as powerful? Be the judge yourself and watch this Eclectic duo go into uncharted territories.
BIO:
Nathan-Paul grew up a pastor’s son from Cleveland, and knows how to deliver sound medicine to the people. His velvety Lo-Fi sounds are a vibe-heavy soul party, fusing modern trap, 70s funk, and fiery Southern gospel. He writes for pure enjoyment. “The way I go about writing, I’m like extreme Southern hospitality. I’ll always have something for you. I won’t let you leave until you take something with you.”, he said. Singing choir by age 5, Nathan is a multi-instrumentalist specializing in saxophone and flute, as well as production and composition. Though he may defy genre constructs, Nathan-Paul is a Jazz Studies graduate from the University of Akron, and is improvising all the time - influenced by greats Charlie Parker, Sonny Rollins, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Louis Armstrong.
Nathan-Paul was the music director for Colmine recording artist Wesley Bright & The Honeytones, during which time he contributed toward arrangements and songwriting, and opened for bands including War, Tower Of Power, Lee Fields, and Charles Bradley. Written for Bright, Nathan’s song ‘Happiness’ earned him a placement with Nike Skateboard.
The artist’s newest project, Nathan-Paul & The Admirables, brings an aggressive, rock-edge to his sound medicine. This project that focuses on energy over notes has already led a successful tour with Moon Hooch and a performance backing soul-giant Dwele.
